A reconditioned Galloway Engine is rebuilt precisely to the original manufacturers specifications and complies with the Australian Standards for Engine Reconditioning, AS4182 for petrol engines and AS4427 for diesel engines. Our engines are also covered by a full warranty which is testament to our quality work standards.
All engines are reconditioned on request ensuring you get the best engine to fulfill your needs. We can supply exchange engines, but as most engines are rebuilt to suit individual requirements we do not carry an extensive range in stock. At Galloway Engines, we understand that you need to get your vehicle back in action as soon as possible. That’s why we provide a quick and efficient turn around and are able to arrange a pick-up and delivery service. In fact, we can freight engines anywhere interstate and across Australia.
Galloway Engines specialises in precision engine machining and reconditioning to ensure that our team is able to solely focus on producing a quality professional job. However, we can arrange engine removal and installation if required. Your regular vehicle servicing centre should also be able to offer you this service. Be aware that YOU are the customer and therefore any fitment centre can fit a Galloway Engine. Do not be persuaded to fit an inferior quality product.
A brand new replacement engine direct from the vehicle manufacturer. Although rarely available, this is the most expensive option, sometimes twice the price of a reconditioned engine.
Despite this option being a lot less expensive than purchasing a brand new engine, you do not compromise quality. All internal wearing surfaces are machined and worn components are replaced to ensure maximum life from the engine. This process allows for custom specifications to be made to your engine, such as increasing performance or economy, so your engine can be modified to suit your requirements. This is our area of expertise and we highly recommend that consideration be given to this option.
Often, you get what you pay for. This option is commonly used as a patch job or quick fix to get a little more life out of an engine. Not all parts are replaced and little or no machining is carried out. In some cases secondhand parts which are already partially worn may be used. The cost of the job may be lower but it means the quality of the job suffers and therefore the life of the engine is jeopardized. Don’t expect any sort of warranty or back up service. Due to the unreliable nature of this option, Galloway Engine Reconditioning do not offer this service.
This would be the most unreliable option as there is no guarantee and the history of the engine is often not known. In basic terms, you are purchasing an old, used engine. Do you really know what problems you are buying into? We choose not to offer this option.
