This Ford F700 was purchased new by a family member back in 1965. It was fitted with a tipper body and was a farm workhorse, until it was retired about 20 years ago. Laurie purchased the truck to save it from the scrap yard and a restoration project began.
The F700 is fitted with its original 300ci 6 cylinder engine. The engine was in good working order, so a "cosmetic restoration", which involved a lick of Ford Blue paint to the block, head and rocker cover, was all that was required. |

The body was disassembled, as a lot more work was required to bring the panels up to scratch. | |||

The truck will be fitted with a winch, so once the restoration is complete, the truck will be able to cart around some of the other cars in the Galloway vehicle collection. The new red paint may even get him to the destination faster!
